BECOME A MARYLAND MOBILE

NOTARY SIGNING AGENT!

If you want to make as much money as possible with your Maryland notary commission, consider becoming a “TIPIC”!!

A Maryland notary must also obtain a title insurance license in Maryland in order to do closings for title insurance companies.

A “title insurance producer – independent contractor” license is required. 16 hours of continuing education are also required every 2 years once you obtain your initial license.

Although taking a state-mandated title insurance pre-licensing course is no longer required **, the 100-question state exam is very difficult, especially for students who have never worked at a title company before.

Attorney Ned Livornese is one of the most experienced title insurance practitioners in Maryland, is an active title insurance underwriter, and has taught a title insurance pre-licensing course for the past 12+ years!

** Effective October 1, 2024, the State of Maryland no longer requires students to take a mandatory title insurance pre-licensing course.  The state exam is still required however, and covers many topics that the average student will not have learned about outside of a well-taught course on title insurance law and practice.
